ReceiptClaim Terms of Use

Effective date: August 7, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and TinyNeed, the publisher of ReceiptClaim. By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Apps obtained from the Apple App Store are also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Where that agreement and these terms conflict for an App Store purchase, that agreement controls.

What ReceiptClaim does

ReceiptClaim reads an itemized receipt, lets each person claim their own items, and produces a settlement showing who owes what. Recognition — whether performed on your device or in the cloud — is an assistant, not an authority.

You are responsible for checking the result before anyone pays. The app deliberately keeps questionable lines visible and shows you when the arithmetic does not reconcile, but it cannot know what the paper actually said. Do not rely on ReceiptClaim as the sole record of a financial obligation.

What is free

Reading a receipt on your device, pasting recognized text, entering items by hand, allocating tax and tip to the cent, and sharing a settlement are free and unlimited, with no account required. Free use also includes 12 cloud scans per month and access to your three most recent receipts.

ReceiptClaim Plus

ReceiptClaim Plus is an auto-renewing subscription that pays for cloud recognition, which is the only part of the app with a real per-use cost.

Cloud scans are granted per monthly cycle rather than as one annual pool, so a heavy month cannot exhaust the year. Unused scans do not carry into the next cycle. Cycles are counted from when your subscription first becomes active, not from the first of the calendar month.

Renewal. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the then-current price for your storefront.

Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account settings — on iOS, Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not end the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds. Purchases are handled entirely by the app store, and refunds follow that store's policy. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. There is no refund for the unused portion of a term except where required by law or granted by the store.

Scan packs

Scan packs add 20, 100, or 500 cloud scans for a single payment. They never expire and are consumed only after your free and subscription allowances for the current cycle are used up. They are not a subscription and do not renew.

Earlier purchases

The one-time Pro unlock is no longer sold. If you bought it, it continues to work and we will keep honoring it.

Bonus scans for sharing

Completing a share of a settlement can add a small number of bonus cloud scans, up to a monthly limit. Bonus scans are a promotion, not something you buy: they have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and we may change or withdraw them at any time. We do not offer any reward in exchange for rating or reviewing the app.

Acceptable use

Use ReceiptClaim for reading receipts you are entitled to read. Do not attempt to interfere with the service, work around usage allowances, submit content you have no right to submit, or use the app to break the law.

Availability

Cloud recognition depends on services we do not control and may be slow, unavailable, or withdrawn. When it is unavailable the app falls back to on-device recognition, which remains fully functional. We may change or discontinue features, but we will not remove the ability to split a receipt on your device while your purchase remains active.

Disclaimer

ReceiptClaim is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Recognition results may be wrong, and it is your responsibility to review them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, TinyNeed is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any amounts you agree to pay another person on the basis of a settlement produced by the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and you may have consumer rights that these terms do not affect.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies instead.

Privacy

How the app handles your data is described in the ReceiptClaim Privacy Policy.
