Receipt OCR is never perfect. ReceiptClaim makes every parsed line editable, preserves the original text for review, and refuses to call a settlement complete unless the categories reconcile.
Current validation: all 20 receipt totals in the ICDAR 2019 SROIE sample were parsed exactly after line text was available. Camera OCR accuracy still depends on focus, lighting, angle, and receipt condition.
Consent-first privacy
You decide what leaves your phone.
Drafts, settlements, and history stay on your device, and the ReceiptClaim app has no account system and no advertising SDK. Cloud recognition reads a hard receipt more accurately than a phone can, but only after you explicitly agree: the receipt photo and recognition response are stored with an anonymous Device ID and scan reference so we can investigate misreads and support requests. Automatic routing may use either the Global service with Cloudflare R2 storage or the Mainland China service with storage on our mainland server. Decline and the choice is remembered: on-device recognition stays fully available, free, and unlimited, even offline. Google ML Kit processes receipt images on-device and may send limited, unlinked diagnostic and usage metrics; it does not send receipt images or recognized text. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and performance measurement; it never receives receipt content.
